Hunting
Red sand, wide skies, and true Kalahari ground on the Botswana border, kept for hunting and game breeding.
Botswana lies just across the dry bed of the Molopo River, and on this side the country is classic Kalahari bushveld of red sand and acacia thorn. Northern Cape Reserve is a hunting property of 8,850 hectares north of Hotazel, in South Africa’s Northern Cape.
The farm holds a wide variety of game. It is fenced into two hunting camps and three breeding camps, which support wildlife management and high-quality genetics, and numerous water points are spread across it.
The lodge has six guest rooms with air conditioning, satellite television, and dressing rooms, and a butchery, a workshop, and staff housing complete the farm. Sishen Airport, with scheduled flights from Johannesburg, is two hours away by road. All around, the Northern Cape is thinly populated, and the quiet is part of the property.
What makes this a great rural estate
Northern Cape Reserve is fenced into separate camps for hunting and for breeding, with varied game of high genetic quality, in classic Kalahari bushveld on the Botswana border.
