Hardwood, conifer, and open meadow in the Laurentians, on a hunting estate known for its elk and red stag.
Laurentian Wildlife Estate is a private hunting estate built around an elk and red stag breeding program founded in 1991. The estate covers 637 hectares in the Laurentians of Quebec, half an hour from Mont-Tremblant, across two properties: the Boileau Hunt Camp and a breeding farm.
The Boileau Hunt Camp spans 334 hectares in three high-fenced zones, with a lodge and a private lake, where a guest cabin stands on the shore. Everything needed to run it is in place: a processing building with walk-in cold storage, staff quarters, offices, and the ATVs, tractors, and equipment. For family and guests, the hotels, golf courses, and ski slopes of Mont-Tremblant are close at hand in every season.
The program began with Manitoban and Rocky Mountain elk and European red deer, under founders known in deer farming and cervid genetics, and made its name through embryo transfer and genetic selection. From 2011, under new ownership, the program grew in size and intensity and drew on top international bloodlines, and every generation after the first refined the herd. The breeding farm has farmland, bush, and lake frontage, with a farmhouse for its full-time manager, barns, veterinary facilities, and high-fenced pens and runs.
What makes this a great rural estate
Decades of selective breeding, begun by pioneers of deer farming and genetics, have produced elk and red stag of exceptional trophy quality and earned Laurentian Wildlife Estate an international reputation.
