Don Pedro
San Estanislao · San Pedro · Paraguay
Farms and Ranches · Timber
Farmland and forest in eastern Paraguay, on fertile ground watered by streams of its own.
Seven streams cross Don Pedro, and between them crops, cattle, and native timber share 11,059 hectares near San Estanislao, in the southeast of Paraguay’s San Pedro department. Road, river, and air routes carry the produce out.
The soils are rich in organic matter and the climate is favorable. Soybeans, corn, and sunflowers are grown by direct seeding and irrigated from the streams and other natural sources, and silos hold 5,000 metric tons of grain, with dryers alongside. The estate carries 8,000 head of cattle.
Native forest covers more than 2,459 hectares and holds timber species, with room for sustainable forestry and nature tourism.
What makes this a great rural estate
Don Pedro combines crop farming, cattle, and forestry on a scale suited to each of them.
